Mingjie Lin is a Summer Associate at Freed Grant LLC and a member of Emory University School of Law’s Class of 2026. He began his legal education at Beijing Normal University, earning a Bachelor of Laws and a B.A. in Spanish as a Maxdo Fellow. With legal experience in the U.S., China, and South Korea, he is well-versed in cross-border legal issues and international legal frameworks.
As an experienced moot court competitor, Mingjie has served as a coach, team leader, and oralist in some of the world’s largest international moot court competitions. His team achieved top three finalists for three consecutive years in the Foreign Direct Investment Moot Arbitration Competition, one of the most prestigious legal competitions, and won the Best Memorial for Claimant in the global round.
Mingjie ranked in the top 10 of his class at Emory Law in his first semester studying in the U.S. and continues to excel academically. He is a David J. Bederman Fellow and has been selected to study at The Hague Academy of International Law in 2025. In 2024, he worked in Kim & Chang, top one firm in Korea, as a summer clerk, and had experience in complex international litigation, antitrust, and bankruptcy law.
