Gary S. Freed

Managing Partner

Gary S. Freed is Managing Partner of Freed Grant LLC. For more than 37 years he has resolved business-related disputes and has been actively involved in the Atlanta and Georgia legal community.

Gary focuses on business and “business divorce,” restrictive covenant, real estate, employment, and probate issues. He has represented large corporations to budding entrepreneurs with success. Judges, athletes, developers, newscasters, nightclubs, insurers, manufacturers, attorneys, entertainers, trade associations, credit card processors, musicians, politicians, accountants, realtors, restaurateurs, bankers, heirs, and more have look to Gary to help them in times of crisis. Gary has addressed disputes in mediation, arbitration, and state and federal courts, in more than 27 states. He has a concentration in Asian business matters. Gary has been recognized in: Martindale-Hubbell as a Top Rated Lawyer in Intellectual Property and AV® Preeminent Rated; Georgia Trend Magazine Legal Elite; and Georgia Super Lawyers.

Thomas C. Grant

Partner

Thomas C. Grant is a Partner with Freed Grant LLC and a member of the Business Litigation and Entertainment Law practice groups. Tom helps business people handle business problems—avoiding them when possible, resolving them when sensible, and going to the mat to fight when necessary. He is an aggressive business litigator who specializes in the areas of technology, intellectual property, and real estate litigation. He also routinely counsels clients in the areas of contract drafting and negotiation, data breach liability and response, and employment matters including non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. In addition, Tom often applies his business litigation skills to disputes in other sectors of the economy, in cases involving fraud, RICO, corporate governance and ownership, dissenter’s rights, unfair competition, and debtor-creditor issues.

Daniel Wang

Associate Attorney

Dan is an Associate Attorney at Freed Grant LLC and a 2022 graduate of Emory University School of Law. Before law school, Dan graduated with honors from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Economics and certificates in Oncology and Chinese History.

Dan strongly believes in a cross-disciplinary approach to the law and has thus focused his legal education in both litigation and transactional matters. At Emory Law, Dan completed his Transactional Skills program, providing among other things training in tax, bankruptcy, and accounting issues. He has also completed Emory Law’s unique program TI:GER (Technological Innovation: Generating Economic Results), specializing in issues of business formation/management, technology law, and intellectual property.

Michael Longfellow

Law Clerk

Michael Longfellow is a Law Clerk at Freed Grant LLC where he will assist attorneys on a variety of matters as he pursues his law degree at Emory University School of Law. Michael moved to Atlanta from Louisville, Kentucky, to study at Emory. As a law student, Michael focuses on litigation and is pursuing a Litigation Specialization at Emory Law.

Michael has a strong interest in history and different regions of the world. While at the University of Louisville he majored in history and studied the Middle East and Islam.

Jessica M. Lange

Paralegal and Office Administrator

Jessica M. Lange is a Paralegal and Office Administrator at Freed Grant LLC.  Jessie has a strong background assisting attorneys in the areas of litigation, insurance defense and more.  She has actively participated in all aspects of the litigation cycle from inception of the case through discovery, trial and appeal and worked independently with clients to gather documentation and information.
